Terms of Service
1. What MockLab is
MockLab is a hosted service for generating mock REST APIs for development, testing, and prototyping. You define a resource schema and MockLab generates realistic fake data on demand — it doesn't store or manage real production data on your behalf.
2. This is a demo service
MockLab is provided for development and testing purposes. Do not use it to store real, sensitive, or personal data — your own or anyone else's. Generated data is fake by design; anything you enter yourself (project names, resource schemas, and any records you create or edit through the mock API) should be treated as disposable, non-production content.
We don't guarantee the durability of any data you store. Projects, resources, and any overrides you create may be modified, reset, or deleted — including as a result of maintenance, abuse prevention, or service changes — without notice.
3. Accounts
You need an account to create projects. You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your password confidential. You must provide a valid email address, and you may not impersonate another person or organization.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use MockLab to: violate any law; store or transmit real personal, financial, health, or other sensitive data; attempt to disrupt the service, including sending traffic beyond the documented rate limits; or build or distribute anything unlawful or harmful.
5. Your content
You keep whatever rights you have in the schemas, project names, and any custom records you create. You grant us permission to store that content and serve it back — including publicly, via your project's mock API endpoint — as part of operating the service. Generated fake data belongs to no one: it's produced algorithmically and isn't derived from real data.
6. Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your projects, resources, and any data you've stored, with no recovery period.
7. No warranty
MockLab is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee uptime, data durability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
